As we travell further south towards Glasgow past Dunblane (the scotthish equestrian centre takes visiters horses if needed)

the road splits just after Stirling the M9 heading towards Edinburgh the M80 to Glasgow and the western borders

the M9 goes on and meets the M8 into Edinburgh or the A90 (m)to Queensferry, or the A720 ring road and the A

roads south A703 to Peebles A7 to Galashields A68 Dalkeith and coldstream,further on we meet up with the A1

coast road south to Haddington, Berwick-on-tweed and beyond to Newcastle where at Gateshead it changes to the

A1(M) to Leeds at Leeds it becomes the M1 and from there goes all the way to London past Nottingham,

Leicester, Northampton, Milton Kenynes,Luton, St Albans,to Watford and the M25 ring road of London to the

east,west, south of England. As of this time we do not have stops here but as the web site progresses and visiters

send in there favourite horse and box stops we should have many more by this time next year Please send in yours.

Now we are heading from the M9/M80 Stirling towards Glasgow from here the A/M80 onto the M73 to the M74

South these stretches of road do get very congested at peak times and as this page is being written there is a lot

of road works and delays but in the authors opinion it is still the most direct way south toBirmingham/Manchester

Anyway as we drive to the borders there is a stop at Abington, Drive on through the beautiful borders countryside

passed Moffet and Beattock down to Annadale water nice stop here from Annadale we travel down to Gretna

green just over the Scottish border where the famous Blacksmiths shop weddings take place I believe you can still

get married there so dont stop to long, now the m/A74 turns into the A74 for a brief section then just over the

borders changes to the M6 next stop at Southwaite also has tourist information, we go past Penrith the turn off

to A66 East to Appleby-in-westmorland and Brough, Appleby has a famous horse sale every year and is very

colourful, the A66 west is to Cockermouth and the coast and the A595 coast road. Back to the M6 on to the

Westmoreland services and the next stop Killington lakes these stops are close together just before here the turn

off to the lake district Kendal, Windermere, and to the east the north york moors, on towards Lancaster passed

the university on to Preston the M55 goes off to Blackpool at juc32 motorways merge at junc 30 splitting onto the

M6-M61-M61 to Manchester, M6 carries on south Charnock richards the next stop before the turn off on the

M58 to Skelmersdale a few miles further on the M6 meets the M62 to Liverpool the birthplace of the famous

four (The Beatles) a few more miles down the road we meet the M56 to Birkenhead and into Wales and on the

east into Manchester, the Knutsford services are next quickly followed by Sandbach we now head towards

Birmingham if you need a stop before you reach this very congested part of the M6 theres a services at Stafford

if you are going into Telford the A449 is a nice reasonably quiet road, but dont forget to turn off onto the A5,( but

if you think you need the quicker route carry on to M54 turn off ) the A5 carries on to Shrewsbury and the quiet

border country of wales. Following the M6 Through Birmingham onto the M1 to Northhamton, passed the concrete cows of Milton Keynes

passed Luton St Albans, Hemal Hempsted on to the ring of London the M25left to the eastern coast right to the

west country Devon Cornwall the M1 ends just before Golders Green, dont forget there are charges for going into

the city centre The congestion charge(from Feb 2007 the area price are changing) is £8 a day between 7.00am and 6.30pm monday to Friday evenings,weekends and public holidays are free. Pay in advance or before 10.00pm on the day of travel (£10.00 between 10.00pm and midnight) congestion charges apply within the inner ring road checklist note down your registration no. check your travel date, keep your payment receipt number. Ways to pay text to register online by phone then on the day of travel text the last 4 digits of your credit/debit card to 81099. you should receive a text back within 30mins with your receipt number wich you must keep as a record of payment,  Online-www.cclondon.com.

There are a lot of motorways off the M25 the M4 goes into south Wales changes to the M5 and

travels down to Taunton, Bridgewater to Exeter there are sevice stations all the way, at junc 31 the A30 travels to

launceston and beyond, The A38 to Plymouth passed Dartmoor national park, the A380 to Torquay a popular

holiday destination.
